Vitto Valentinov was born in 1977 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He works in the field of installation and participatory art. Vitto studied mural painting at the National Academy of Arts, Sofia, after which he completed a BA and a MA at the AKI (Academy for Art & Design) and the DAI (Dutch Art Institute) in Enschede, the Netherlands. In 2006 he made his film debut with “Falling on the Fovea”, a joint project with Kristina Yanachkova, which was presented in “The Projection Project” exhibition at the MuHKA, Museum of Contemporary Art in Antwerp. That same year Vitto returned to Bulgaria and specialized in film directing at the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in galleries, museums and art fairs, including Biennale de Kunstvlaai Amsterdam, Sofia Design Week, Contempo - International Art Festival, TEDxBG, Space SSEE Gallery South Korea, CEC Artslink Residency (New York and Cincinnati), ICA- Institute of Contemporary Art Sofia, SAMCA Sofia Arsenal - Museum of Contemporary Art, Sofia City Art Gallery, Sariev Gallery Plovdiv, Goethe-Institut Bulgaria, The New New - Art Science Tech Festival Thessaloniki, and Vienna Contemporary.
